Registration of foreign marriage in Paraguay
What is Foreign Marriage Registration?
It is the registration of marriages of citizens who have contracted marriage abroad and who want to register it in Paraguay.
What is required to register a foreign marriage in Paraguay?
- Marriage Certificate legalized by the Paraguayan consulate in the country of origin (for countries subscribed to the Hague Convention only the apostille stamp is required).
- Legalization of the Marriage Certificate by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay (only if it bears the seal of the Paraguayan Consulate of the country of origin).
- Translation (if necessary).
- Photocopy of civil identity card of the contracting parties.
- Certificate of life and residence of one of the contracting parties.
